Accenture Launches Cloud Suite For Accelerating Oracle Deployments

Consulting powerhouse Accenture, one of Oracle's largest implementation partners, released a platform Monday for helping big businesses deploy Oracle cloud solutions faster.

The systems integrator's new Accenture Cloud Suite for Oracle creates a customized, highly automated experience to launch customers into Oracle's cloud-based software, platforms, infrastructure and data services, said Terri Strauss, managing director for Accenture's Oracle practice.

"Getting our clients to cloud is really step one," Strauss told CRN. "It's unlocking the value once you're in the cloud."

Accenture created the unique IP to serve as an accelerator to Oracle's cloud, she said, lowering the total time, and with it cost, of implementations.

"We're taking industry acumen and building standard configuration tools, testing tools, so the journey is as rapid, de-risked, and low-cost as possible," Strauss said.

Accenture Cloud Suite for Oracle has some 250 unique assets, everything from migration tools to reference architectures to pre-built integrations to chatbots.

Customers first engage with the platform by selecting desired capabilities and usage characteristics across four categories: architecture, acceleration, automation, delivery.

They share information about their industry, regulatory demands, desired use cases. The platform then culls a select list of roughly 30 of those tools and resources best-suited to meet customer implementation demands. Those assets integrate into Accenture's myWizard app, an intelligent automation platform used by customers and Accenture's delivery team.

The value Accenture delivers through Cloud Suite for Oracle is making an often-complex implementation process more efficiently onboard enterprises to the appropriate Oracle, and non-Oracle, solutions through intelligence and automation. The system will add even more artificial intelligence capabilities down the road, Strauss told CRN.

Accenture worked closely with Oracle to develop the platform, particularly when focusing on industry solutions, Strauss said.

But most of the product "really comes from our day to day experience delivering Oracle Cloud," she said.
