Google Cloud Taps SAP Vet Adaire Fox-Martin As EMEA Cloud President

Adaire Fox-Martin fills the vacancy left by Chris Ciauri, who served in the position for two years before leaving the company in March.

Google Cloud has named an SAP and Oracle veteran to lead its cloud division in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The No. 3 cloud computing provider tapped Adaire Fox-Martin to fill the vacancy left by Chris Ciauri, who served in the position for two years before leaving the company in March to pursue outside opportunities.

Fox-Martin will be based in Dublin. She had worked for SAP, the German multinational enterprise software corporation, for more than 13.5 years. She most recently served as executive board member of global customer success, leading SAP’s global sales and services organization. Her other former SAP positions were executive board member of global customer operations and four roles for SAP Asia-Pacific Japan from 2008 to 2017 , including president, chief operating officer, senior vice president of industry business solutions and public-sector vice president. Before joining SAP, Fox-Martin held various leadership roles at Oracle, where she spent more than 18 years.

Fox-Martin has served on the board of data center and colocation company Equinix since 2020, when she also was named to Fortune Magazine’s Top 50 Most Powerful Women International list for the fourth year.

Ciauri had been hired in 2019 from Salesforce to lead Google Cloud operations in EMEA when Robert Enslin, president of Google Cloud sales, was building out the cloud provider’s sales teams in the United States and internationally. Ciauri’s LinkedIn page indicates he now is a strategic sales and go-to-market advisory team member for Farview Equity Partners, a London-based private equity firm that invests in growth-oriented enterprise and financial technology companies in Europe.
