NTT Data Services’ acquisition spree continues with the purchase of what the company says is the “world’s largest pure-play” ServiceNow consultancy partner, Boston-based Acorio.
“We believe Acorio is the most experienced and innovative partner to deliver the platform expertise and transformation needed to support modern enterprises’ rapid adoption of ServiceNow,” said Eric Clark, chief digital officer of NTT Data Services, in a statement. “Especially now, our clients are looking to accelerate their digital transformations. Acorio is a proven leader in implementing ServiceNow and its ecosystem to automate workflows in order to unite and empower all other enterprise technology.”
Over the past year, the Plano, Texas-based global services arm of Japan-based NTT has acquired AWS Premier Consulting Partner Flux7, Cognosante Consulting, as well as NETE, which provides consulting services to the U.S. Department of Health And Human Services.

Financial terms of the Acorio acquisition were not disclosed.
Acorio has around 250 employees solely focused on selling ServiceNow to its Fortune 500 and Global 2000 customers, with nine regional hubs across the U.S. as well as an international presence in Spain and Australia. Acorio is an Elite ServiceNow partner and was named ServiceNow’s 2020 Industry Solutions Partner of the Year in the Americas.
NTT Data Services also is a ServiceNow Elite Partner and is looking to add scale and scope to its ServiceNow strategy to help customers enable automated and intelligent digital workflows. NTT Data Services said Acorio brings proven success in traditional service management, implementation and integration as well as platform leadership in emerging ServiceNow product lines such as employee and customer workflows, HR service delivery, customer service management and custom apps.
“For our clients, this acquisition means we can offer truly global scale and increased innovation, while remaining relentlessly focused on ServiceNow,” said Acorio CEO Ellen Daley in a statement. “Our clients will also benefit from access to NTT Data’s global R&D, applications, infrastructure and investments in digital transformation and innovation. The thoughtful, client-first cultures of our companies are well aligned and NTT Data’s commitment to digital transformation makes them the exact right fit for the Acorio team.”
The deal is expected to close this year.
