When Microsoft developed its own FastTrack onboarding solution for Office 365 migration, Chris Pyle, president and CEO of Champion Solutions Group, Boca Raton, Fla., had to find new ways to profit from the cloud solution. His company developed Office 365 Adoption, a customizable information portal.

"This is the one place that everybody goes to for Office 365 information. It runs in Azure using Azure active directory," said Pyle, who gave a demonstration for CRNtv.

The portal can be personalized with a company name and logo, and has "all the how-tos," including business scenarios and a "help me" section.

"We developed this because of the amount of inbound calls we were getting on our help desk," said Pyle, who added that the portal reduced his help desk’s calls by 50 percent.

The smart portal also contains "snackable, bite-size videos" and offers answers for typical queries about problems with Office 365. Pyle said he has found the venture to be very profitable.

"We're charging anywhere from 75 cents to a dollar per user, per month," he said.
