Altaworx CEO Rickie RIchey urges solution providers to value the customer over the product in CRN's latest C-Suite Spotlight.
Altaworx was founded in 2001, was first focused on Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) business telephone systems and later branched out to offer a full selection of network services. The company started down that path in 2013 when it became the first company to join AT&T's Partner Exchange Program.
Richey told CRN his most profitable areas today are his UCaaS platform and developments in IoT. He adds that customers have invested more in their infrastructure because of the new tax code, telling CRN that they want to position themselves for growth.
Altaworx is a true service provider; 95 percent of its revenues are recurring. The company prioritizes the customer and the business impact over the product. Richey said his main goal is to solve a problem, and understanding that problem is always the first step with his customer.
