Fuze Exec On How His Company Is Taking On Skype And Other Apps

There are a handful of ways to communicate with your colleagues, but Fuze’s Chief Sales Officer Chris Doggett says his product comes with less of a headache than the competition.

’If you’re a Skype user, as an example, that’s great for certain things and not for others,’ said Doggett. ’What we see in the typical organization is users are using anywhere from 5-10 different apps and tools and they have to switch around between these tools, log in or log out, and it’s a really disjointed experience for them.’

Fuze’s global cloud-platform does everything -- voice, video conferencing, instant messaging and collaboration -- in one application, unlike its competitors. The Boston-based company, formerly known as ThinkingPhones, was founded in 2006. Today, the company’s customers include National Geographic, Snapchat and the PGA Tour.

In February, the company launched new offerings for its channel program. Select partners can now resell its solution, an expansion from the previous referral model. Partners also now receive recurring commissions or discounts on customers activation, depending on the engagement model. The flexible program terms allow partners to choose their own levels of involvement across the Fuze sales process, whether it is collaborating on customer acquisitions from start to finish, or simply offering an initial recommendation. Fuze also provides ongoing sales and technical support to partners as part of the expanded program.
