WATCH: Construction Software Firm Shows How It’s Using Oracle Technology

Reconstruct is one of the latest companies using Oracle technology to digitize the construction industry. CRNtv got a look at the software company’s cloud-based platform last week at Oracle OpenWorld 2018.

The platform uses Oracle Cloud and Oracle’s Primavera P6 platform to track construction progress with images from drones. It is the first platform to use Oracle’s Primavera P6 Platform in a bidirectional way. That means users can “time travel,” looking back at both the BIM (building information modeling) and point cloud layers at different stages of a project.

“Oracle Cloud Services renders all of our 3D imaging, which is the backbone of what we provide,” said Reconstruct CEO Zak MacRunnels. “At Reconstruct we bring Primavera 6 to life in three dimension. We also run our 3D rendering system on Oracle Cloud services. What this does is provide a 3D timeline for construction executives and their job site teams to really create construction safer and faster to make our world a better place.”
