Apple MacBook Makeover Ups Battery Life To 10 Hours
Among other highlights, the new MacBook has 2 GB of memory, a 250 GB hard drive, a double-layer SuperDrive, and the ability to support a DVI to HDMI adaptor in the MacBook's DVI socket.
Physically, it looks the same as its predecessor: 13.3-inch, 1280x800 pixel widescreen display and polycarbonate unibody enclosure. Apple's also kept the price steady at $999, although according to Apple's online storefront, the United Kingdom version of the new MacBook will see a price increase of £30 over its predecessor.
The MacBook changes for Apple's consumer notebook follow last month's refresh of its MacBook Pro line, which also included Nvidia's GeForce 320M, and according to Apple means MacBook Pros also see up to 80 percent faster graphics and improved battery life.
