Seattle-based AppViewX saw a whopping 422 percent increase in annual subscription revenues in 2017, along with a 576 increase in sales pipeline compared to 2016. AppViewX provides management, automation and orchestration of network services in brownfield and greenfield data centers.

Windham was previously CEO at web monitoring vendor Cedexis before it was acquired by Citrix Systems in February for an undisclosed amount. He also held top product and business strategy roles at F5 Networks from 2013 to 2016, including vice president of product management and security.

Windham said he plans to leverage his experience of driving market-leading products and services to bolster AppViewX's vision of providing an automation platform to transform network and security operations.

The AppViewX Platform helps network and security operations adapt to technology and process demands such as agile DevOps, Internet of Things, cloud, and software-defined infrastructure. The platform automates third-party, best-of-breed and open-source network services provided by application delivery controllers, security devices, certificate authorities, DNS servers, as well as routers and switches.

Former AppViewX CEO Anand Purusothaman will continue as chairman of the board and work with the leadership team to further accelerate AppViewX’s growth in the network automation marketplace, the company said.

In December 2016 the vendor launched its first-ever Partner+ partner program as AppViewX shifted all direct accounts to channel partners.
