10 Cool IoT Products And Services That Debuted In 2025
Solution providers serving customers in a number of industries have had their eye on IoT for the last couple of years as the number of connected devices has exploded, and 2025 was no different.
2025 could be considered the year that IoT joined forces with AI for the creation of highly intelligent sensors and connectivity offerings for the enterprise and small business alike.
New, groundbreaking AI-powered IoT devices and products introduced this year include a remote telemetry device that can turn nonconnectivity equipment into a “smart” device, an industrial infrastructure management offering, and a tool aimed at securing cellular IoT connections. And then there were the tech heavyweights that came to the market with their own flavor of IoT offerings. This included HPE Aruba Networking with its retail-ready IoT portfolio and Intel, with a new line of Core Ultra processors for edge computing use cases.

Aeris IoT Watchtower
Aeris, a global provider of secure cellular IoT platforms and products, in February launched Aeris IoT Watchtower, which the company called “the world’s first” integrated security offering for cellular IoT. Aeris IoT Watchtower helps enterprises strengthen their security postures around IoT by offering visibility and control to prevent IoT security breaches, significantly reduce the impact of any IoT security event, improve operational efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance, according to the San Jose, Calif.-based company.
Comcast's MachineQ MQio 9w Remote Telemetry Device
Comcast-owned MachineQ in January unveiled the launch of the MQio 9w, an enterprise-grade data collection and control device that can turn nonconnected equipment into “smart” assets, the company said. The remote equipment telemetry and control device, which is powered by MachineQ’s scalable IoT network connectivity platform, offers real-time visibility and enhanced operational efficiency across various industries, from food service to life sciences, according to the company.
Digi Industrial Infrastructure Access Offering
IoT connectivity provider Digi International launched a new offering aimed at industrial infrastructure management, which combines the company’s Digi Axess mobile app with its Digi Axess VPN Service for 24x7 secure industrial infrastructure access. The offering, unveiled in June, lets industrial teams monitor, control and secure critical systems from anywhere, securely, the Hopkins, Minn.-based company said.
HPE Aruba Networking’s Retail-Ready Portfolio
HPE Aruba Networking kicked off the year by launching its retail-ready networking portfolio that includes its connectivity technology, such as Wi-Fi 7, private 5G and edge computing. Unveiled in January, the portfolio bundles access points, a brand-new cellular bridge for primary and backup WAN access and a compact switch alongside the company’s flagship network management and AI platform, HPE Aruba Networking Central.
Intel Core Ultra Processors For Edge Computing
At CES 2025 in January, Intel unveiled a suite of processors for edge computing that the company said were designed to provide scalability and increased performance across diverse use cases. The power-efficient Intel Core Ultra processors make them ideal for AI workloads at the edge, with performance gains that surpass competing products in critical metrics like media processing and AI analytics, the company said.
The processors, which include the Intel Core Ultra 9, excel in AI workloads, due to significant gen-over-gen performance advancements in areas such as media processing and AI analytics, Intel said.
Lantronix Kompress.AI
Lantronix, a provider of compute and connectivity IoT offerings powering edge AI applications, in October launched Kompress.ai, an AI-powered platform in partnership with Vodafone IoT, which specializes in IoT connectivity services.
The new AI subscription-based platform integrates edge hardware, cloud intelligence and Vodafone IoT connectivity to unlock recurring revenue for businesses. The Irvine, Calif.-based company said that Kompress.ai will be available this fall in the U.S. and Canada.
Myriota HyperPulse
Via a partnership with satellite connectivity provider Viasat, Myriota, the telecom for global field intelligence, launched Myriota HyperPulse, a 3GPP 5G-based Narrowband Non-Terrestrial Network (NB-NTN) service. The service, according to the Australian company, will give customers access to Viasat’s global geostationary L-band network and 3GPP-compliant spectrum, along with Myriota’s hybrid network management platform and low-power, wide-area satellite connectivity technology designed for IoT.
Qualcomm Dragonwing
Qualcomm Technologies this summer revealed what the company called a “groundbreaking” new processor in the form of Dragonwing Q-6690, the “world’s first” enterprise mobile processor with fully integrated ultra-high frequency (UHF) RFID capabilities. According to the company, the processor includes built-in 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and ultra-wideband to support proximity-aware experiences and superior global connectivity. The Dragonwing Q-6690 can also support multiple form factors, from ruggedized handhelds to retail point-of-sale systems and smart kiosks, San Diego-based Qualcomm said.
Soracom Connectivity Hypervisor
In July, Soracom, a provider of advanced IoT connectivity products, unveiled its Connectivity Hypervisor, a platform capability designed to give IoT deployments greater flexibility and control over multiple connectivity profiles, including third-party profiles, on a single IoT SIM. The offering supports the GSMA SGP.32 standard for regulatory compliance and SIM provisioning in IoT, according to the Tokyo-based company.
Zebra Technologies' Mobile Computing AI Suite
Zebra Technologies, a provider of hardware, software and automation products, in January revealed a headful of products and AI innovations geared toward the retail industry, but perhaps most notable was the Zebra Mobile Computing AI Suite, a set of tools that includes an AI data capture software development kit (SDK) and example applications optimized for select Zebra Android mobile devices. The suite, according to the Lincolnshire, Ill.-based company, facilitates the development of AI applications, enabling customers, developers and ISVs to easily integrate cutting-edge vision AI capabilities into their mobile applications.
