Microsoft Vet Mangione Joins XenSource
Barbara Darrow
Gordon Mangione, who headed up SQL Server and security duties at Microsoft before leaving last year, is surfacing at Xensource as senior vice president of products and operations.
The move makes sense for Xensource, an open-source virtualization specialist that is seeking to boost interop with Microsoft technologies.
Mangione will be based at the company's Seattle-area offices. XenSource also has major facilities in Cambridge, U.K. and Palo Alto, Calif.
Since leaving Microsoft last November, Mangione has worked with both VC Ignition Partners and Lockdown Networks, a maker of network access control technology.
This report was updated Thursday morning with details on Mangione's title.
