Verio Sweetens Partner Incentives
Solution provider partners that serve small and midsize businesses now can earn incremental cash incentives under the viaVerio Partner Rebate Program. Englewood, Colo.-based Verio hopes the cash incentive will motivate solution providers to simplify their hosting businesses by consolidating their hosting accounts under one Verio program.
Depending on the hosting plan selected, the rebate program will pay partners $50 to $500 for each account they migrate to Verio.
Solution providers moving current virtual private server (VPS) accounts with another host to Verio will get $100 to $200 per account, depending on the VPS hosting plan type. VARs and systems integrators that move current managed private server (MPS) accounts from another host to Verio will receive $400 to $1,000 per account, depending on the MPS plan type.
For each Windows virtual plan moved to Verio, solution providers will get $100 to $150, or $400 to 600 for Windows dedicated managed accounts, depending on the type of Windows hosting plan chosen.
Taking a marketing cue from the airlines' "double miles" campaigns, Verio said that solution providers signing up now will receive double payouts, with all setup fees waived through the end of April. Verio also is offering partners assistance in the migration process to help those transitioning large numbers of accounts.
The new program, which arose in response to partner feedback, will feature new verification and payout processes to expedite rebates so that partners can pass on the benefits to customers more efficiently. In addition, the program will help partners offset some of the setup costs involved in signing new customers.
