Level Platforms Extends Symantec Integration, Enhances Backup Services
The extended feature set includes multi-site view, which enables MSPs to monitor backup status across all managed sites from a single pane of glass, a new capability that allows different types of backups to run on different backup servers with complete visibility on the dashboard, and also support for both Backup Exec 2010 and 2012 products.
The service module also gathers information on alerts and errors, as well as tracks operations status, and conducts reports and diagnostics that can be delivered through the dashboard.

The upgrade is part of Level Platforms' technology integration program, through which technology vendors can leverage the Level Platforms software development kit designed for streamlined development of service modules.
"With our expanding Vendor Alliance Program we are partnering with leading vendors, including Symantec, to establish Managed Workplace as the single platform for MSPs to manage the full range of technologies impacting the IT experience for their end-customers," said Gordon Rielly, CTO, Level Platforms, in a prepared statement. "Our collaboratively designed Symantec Service Modules, including the updated Backup Exec and the soon-to-be-released Endpoint Protection Service Module, provide our Partners with a new level of insight, responsiveness and automation within their Managed Workplace workflow so they can better serve their end-clients."
Similar modules have already been released in conjunction with Axcient, Datto and Docuwise.
The Symantec Backup Exec Service Module is now available to Level Platforms Partners through the Update Center.
