MSP giant Synoptek is stepping up its focus on customer success by way of acquiring Macquarium, a longtime customer experience agency, the companies announced Thursday.

Irvine, Calif.-based Synoptek will pair its track record of helping businesses move through IT transformations successfully with Macquarium’s business consulting and development services, Synoptek said in a statement on the deal.

The two companies have not released financial details of the transaction.

Synoptek, an MSP with a global presence, has a team of more than 1,000 on-staff. Macquarium’s brand will continue under the Synoptek portfolio, according to the two companies.

Now newly combined, Synoptek and Macquarium will offer research, strategy, design, development, implementation, support and analytics to support customer or employee experience.

“With a keen focus on meeting the needs of our valued clients at the heart of everything we do at Synoptek, this acquisition is an exciting step forward for our organization,” said Tim Britt, Synoptek’s CEO, in a statement on the deal. “This marriage of two industry-leading brands with a shared vision and commitment to delivering an unprecedented standard of excellence will allow our organization to reach new heights on behalf of every customer we serve.”

Atlanta-based Macquarium, for its part, has been providing digital customer experience services, such as engagement, conversion and retention, to customers since 1991. The company counts many large enterprise and high-profile companies, such as MGM, Equifax, UPS, and Wells Fargo, as customers.

“With the increased prevalence of distributed workforces, the market for fully integrated solutions couldn’t be more valued than now,” said Macquarium Founder and Chairman of Marc Adler in a statement. “Joining forces with an industry powerhouse like Synoptek increases the scale and scope of our capabilities.

Synoptek, one of the Elite 150 on CRN’s MSP 500 2022 list, serves midmarket to Fortune 100 clients with its vast portfolio of cloud, security, and business intelligence solutions.
