Neumitra: Medical-Grade Connected Technology

/**/ /**/

The developers at Boston-based technology company Neumitra don't care what device you use, but they would like one of their biomodules embedded into it.

Neumitra has developed these biomodules to help "measure and manage the autonomic nervous system," and can work with any wearable device or watch. Neumitra’s mobile software connects with these biomodules via the cloud, and offers automatic insights based on smartphones.

Those insights can show everything from what your least stressful activity a day is, to where, geographically, you get the most stressed out. It could even show you what songs rev you up, or cool you down.

Neumitra shows users this information using easy-to-read "infographic"-style displays.

"We've made a conscious decision not to overwhelm our users with numbers," said Neumitra Founder Robert Goldberg.

"Looking at data really does get boring," he said.

Goldberg pointed to the accuracy and level of the data the biomodules collect, which he expressed is "medical-grade," similar to what could be collected in a professional medical or hospital setting. Most of all, Goldberg wanted to be clear: Neumitra is not another wearable, and it’s not a pedometer.
