Mobility Minute: Moving Up the Mobile Maturity Curve

Smartphones have been around for about a decade – most of us using them for our day-to-day work. But most companies don't have an effective enterprise mobile strategy.

This creates an opportunity for solution providers to help their customers take control of the mobile devices that are meant for business applications, like Samsung's Galaxy Note 8.

"We really see an opportunity for our partners to position themselves as the mobility experts for their customers. To help their customers build a mobile strategy. And to help customers understand there is so much more they can get out of their phone than just email," said Carrie Maslen, vice president of sales enablement at Samsung.

The BYOD market – bring your down device – is expected double by 2020. That's according to a recent Markets and Markets report that also shows reduced hardware costs for enterprise and growing demand for managed mobile services.

"We’re really excited for the mobile opportunity that’s available to our partners. We’re actually helping them take advantage of this," said Maslen. "We’re bringing Samsung resources to them in the form of marketing resources and we just launched a brand new mobile certification program."

This is in addition to the device management packages partners can create to increase recurring revenue.
