Las Vegas' First Rainfall In 116 Days Causes CES Blackout

What do you do when there's a power outage at CES?

CRNTV asked that question to those stuck outside the Las Vegas Convention Center on Wednesday. Lights went out in Central Hall for close to two hours during the world's most popular tech trade show.

Officials say the outage was likely due to condensation from heavy rainfall, which caused one of the transformers to malfunction. Las Vegas experienced its first rainfall this week in 116 days.

"It was very dark. Somehow, Samsung and Cannon had backup power, so inside you could still see things," said Donny Chiu, a CES attendee.
