CA Plans Aggressive Expansion In Telecommunications
CA President and CEO John Swainson said Tuesday the company is leveraging its technology and its recent acquisition of Concord Communications and its Aprisma subsidiary to provide total management solutions. The moves were detailed at INSIGHT 2005, a user conference for eHealth and Spectrum in Boston.
CA will combine network performance and fault management solutions from the acquired businesses with CA's Unicenter systems management technology, eTrust security management, and BrightStor storage management product lines. The combination will reduce operating costs, increase service levels and generate new revenue streams, Swainson said.
A new telecommunications and service provider team will expand support for managed IT services and high-growth services like IP VPNs, mobile wireless, VoIP, and voice/data/video over cable.
