Linksys Adds Gigabit Ethernet To Small Business Switch Line

The new products include 16, 24 and 48-port Gigabit Ethernet switches; 24 and 48-port Fast Ethernet switches with 4 Gigabit ports; a 24-port Gigabit switch with Power over Ethernet (PoE); and 24 and 48-port Fast Ethernet switches with 2 Gigabit ports and PoE.

All the new products include WebView, a feature that enables remote network management through a secure Web browser, allowing administrators to enable and disable ports, set up VLANs and port trunking, and modify QoS traffic priority settings.

All the switches are available now, except for the 24-port Gigabit switch with PoE (SRW2024P) and the 48-port Fast Ethernet switch with 2 Gigabit ports and PoE (SRW248P), both of which will ship this summer. Prices range from $279 for the 24-port Fast Ethernet switch with 2 Gigabit ports (SRW224), to $899 for the 48-port Gigabit switch (SRW2048).
