Vitagliano To Run Juniper's Direct, Indirect Units

Vitagliano's new title, effective immediately, is vice president of worldwide channels/U.S. enterprise operations. A Juniper spokesperson said the announcement has been made internally and without the fanfare of a formal press release, but the company will be briefing selected partners on the move during the next few days. According to Juniper, no other channel executives will be given new titles or reassigned as a result of the change.

Partners say the simplified structure means that Juniper's enterprise direct sales force should be on the same page with its indirect reps.

"Where most people were kind of upset were that these salespeople were reporting to two different bosses," says Rich Tear, president of CSCI, a solution provider in San Diego. "This makes a lot more sense; it provides a more cohesive picture for channel partners trying to do business in the enterprise area."
