8 New Cisco Workplace And AI Innovations Unveiled At WebexOne 2026
Cisco took to WebexOne 2026 to showcase its vision for the intelligent workplace, unveiling everything from AI-powered Personal Agents and coaching tools to Workplace Designer, RoomOS 27, the Ceiling Speaker Pro and new customer experience AI capabilities.
Cisco is extending its flagship Cisco Cloud Control platform beyond networking and security to serve as the central nervous system for an enterprise’s physical spaces, collaboration tools and customer touchpoints. The goal is to replace disconnected rooms and systems with an intelligent workplace that can be managed as one connected environment.
At the center of that strategy is a redesigned, AI-powered Webex experience that brings together context, proactive recommendations and AI agents capable of carrying out complex, long-running tasks. And it’s not just AI for the sake of AI. The idea of what Cisco is calling “connected intelligence” is about bringing people, context and environments together to create better experiences and outcomes.
From Workplace Designer and RoomOS 27 to new collaboration agents and customer experience features, here’s a look at Cisco’s latest workplace and collaboration innovations revealed at WebexOne 2026 in Austin, Texas.
Creating An Intelligent Workplace
The main thesis behind the intelligent workplace is to avoid rooms and systems operating in isolation. Rather, a system of smart spaces connected by the same network and management plane will create a connected experience across the entire organization. With that in mind, Cisco has rolled out a few new features geared toward the creation of an intelligent workplace.
First up is Workplace Designer, a new feature that lets enterprises import their floor plans or building or campus blueprints and receive recommendations for room configuration, Wi-Fi infrastructure, and collaboration devices for every space in a single click. This will give sometimes competing stakeholders, such as facilities and IT teams, a single view of the space without having to negotiate space, power and connectivity for each room, Cisco said.
Cisco also touched on two additional features, Workplace Insights and Experience Metrics, within Cisco Cloud Control that can help with workplace planning and troubleshooting. Workplace Insights gives users a clear, unified view of how physical offices and spaces are being used across locations and floors to help businesses adapt their environments as needed. Experience Metrics can help turn thousands of network signals into actionable metrics to improve the user experience, Cisco said.
AI Agents For Collaboration
Cisco is expanding its Webex AI agent lineup to help end users personalize their collaboration needs and work smarter. The tech giant unveiled Personal Agents for Webex Calling. These agents can prevent users from missing important calls, even when they’re unavailable. They can intelligently screen calls, converse with callers to understand their needs and determine urgency, prioritize what matters most, and even take action on behalf of the user, Cisco said.
Cisco also announced AI Coach for Vidcast that helps a presenter “rehearse” by watching and listening while a presenter delivers, reacts to pacing, tone and word choice as they happen, and asks the questions a live audience would ask to help the presenter speak clearly and deliver their content successfully. Cisco said this agent will eventually be expanded to provide post-meeting coaching and real-time nudges during conversations.
Cisco also announced that its previously announced Translator Agent, which is in controlled availability, will become generally available in November.
New Hardware And RoomOS 27
The latest version of Cisco’s collaboration operating system, RoomOS 27, features a level of interoperability that no other collaboration vendor offers today, according to Cisco. Whether users standardize on Webex, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom or Google Meet, the operating system ensures a native, high-performance experience across every major platform. RoomOS 27 also connects to Cisco Cloud Control.
RoomOS 27 will be available in November, according to Cisco.
On the hardware side is the new Cisco Ceiling Speaker Pro, which Cisco said completes its vision for fully integrated, IP-connected meeting spaces. The new speaker integrates into the same intelligent system as Cisco cameras, microphones and room devices, using AI to adapt audio across the space so that even quiet voices carry naturally, Cisco said.
AI Within CX
On the customer experience front, Cisco wants to help enterprises combine customer and business context to create better interactions with clients.
To that end, Cisco introduced Dialog, a feature that the tech giant refers to as an agentic harness. Dialog’s capabilities include long-horizon execution, which means agents keep working on the customer’s behalf after a conversation ends; the ability to unify customer history with enterprise data for continuous context across all channels and time; and the ability to learn from every interaction. Dialog, like other Webex AI Agents, operates within active safety guardrails from Cisco AI Defense, the company said.
Cisco also announced that it is expanding on AI Agent 360, first announced at Cisco Live earlier this year. The offering will now be bolstered with agent observability with Splunk. General availability is set for December, Cisco said.
