BroadSoft Product Delivers UC From Any Platform

Movial’s client design experience comes together with BroadSoft’s growing suite of enterprise-focused applications in BroadTouch, a cloud-based portal for accessing UC applications from anywhere. BroadTouch supports Mac and PC, iOS and Android, and delivers BroadSoft’s range of web collaboration, video, voice, and telepresence applications via a single interface.

“We have led the industry in developing software that empowers our service provider customers to deliver modern communications services over their IP networks. With BroadTouch we are unleashing our innovative services from these networks and putting them in the hands of end-users,” said BroadSoft CEO Michael Tessler in a prepared statement. “We believe BroadTouch will eliminate the need for enterprise end users and consumers to use multiple clients for each communication service and instead provide a single application for all their communications services — from any device and any location.”

BroadSoft’s partners will be able to offer their end user clients a branded, customizable set of applications accessible via the BroadTouch interface, including the Business Communicator, which includes voice, video, instant messaging and presence applications.

This is the second acquisition this fall that has helped the Gaithersburg, Md.-based UC provider ramp up its UC product offerings for the channel. BroadSoft added a hosted web collaboration tool to its BroadCloud platform with its September acquisition of Phoenix, Ariz.-based iLinc Communications, a provider of SaaS-based web collaboration services.
