CenturyLink Reports Broadband Service Restored
"Service was restored to all of our customers by early Tuesday afternoon Eastern time," a company spokesperson told CRN. "The problem involved core routers, and we believe that the issue has now been completely resolved. Any customers still having difficulties should give us a call."
A separate statement from the Monroe, La.-based company also recommended that users who are still experiencing difficulties should reboot their modems before making a service call.

Widespread outages typically generate support calls to channel partners, but, in most cases, they are unable to resolve the issue unless specific work-arounds have been put in place.
"We did receive a few calls about this issue," said Garth Brown, president of Seattle-based Semaphore Corporation. "I'm glad that our people really did not get hit too badly, but apparently the situation was a lot worse in other places."
