CRN Exclusive: VeloCloud Gets Service Providers To 'Ready, Set, GO' Sell SD-WAN
SD-WAN startup VeloCloud is revealing its partner program aimed at helping service providers get onboarded and selling SD-WAN in under a month.
The VeloCloud "Ready, Set, GO" program lets service providers turn up their own VeloCloud-powered SD-WAN service in under 30 days, according to the company. Service providers can then get started quickly selling and deploying the over-the-top service through their partners and to their end customers.
The program includes a set of multi-tenant cloud technologies that service providers can use to get to market with their own SD-WAN service quickly. The program also includes unique resources specifically designed for carrier partners, including marketing and campaign tools and training.
"Our objective is to bring the service provider up and running within 30 days with an SD-WAN offering so they can begin making money," said Mike Wood (pictured), VeloCloud's vice president of worldwide marketing.
The Ready Set Go program already includes 50 Tier 1 and Tier 2 global service provider partners today, including AT&T, Sprint, IBM, MetTel, Vonage, Windstream, and TPx Communications.
VeloCloud is actively recruiting new service provider partners interested in getting up to speed successfully with a cloud-delivered SD-WAN solution that can be quickly deployed to end customers or via its own partner base. Wood anticipates another two dozen service providers will join the program by the end of the year.
With the latest program, VeloCloud will help service providers with marketing planning and positioning, and will work with the carriers to differentiate their VeloCloud-powered SD-WAN service based on the unique core competency of each service provider, Wood said.
"Getting carriers to market with SD-WAN quickly is important, especially in this hyper-competitive environment because there is money being left on the table for these service providers," he said. "Carriers need to have a solution right now to capitalize on that opportunity and help their customers take advantage of cloud-delivered SD-WAN."
While the Ready Set GO program specifically targets carriers today, Wood said that VeloCloud plans on "tweaking" the program down the road to include system integrator partners.
The Mountain View, Calif.-based startup's flavor of cloud-based SD-WAN can be deployed as an over-the-top solution with on-premises SD-WAN hubs. The offering promises guaranteed application performance, secure and available hybrid networks, and zero-touch WAN automation. These capabilities can be extended to a service providers' private backbone or data centers, according to the company.
VeloCloud's relationship with many of the largest global service providers gives the startup "unmatched" access to not only more enterprise customers, but more channel partners around the world as well, the company said.
VeloCloud conducts 100 percent of its business through the channel. The startup also announced that through more than 150 of its system integrator, managed service provider, and VAR partners, VeloCloud had crossed the 1,000 enterprise customer threshold.
