Lumen Technologies Moves Customer Experience Officer Into New CRO Seat

In another change-up to the leadership team, Lumen announces it has shifted Ashley Haynes-Gaspar, the company’s EVP and customer experience officer, to the CRO seat as the company consolidates its commercial divisions.

Lumen Technologies, formerly CenturyLink, has named Ashley Haynes-Gaspar, the company’s former executive vice president and customer experience officer, chief revenue officer, a new role for the company, Lumen announced Friday.

Haynes-Gaspar's latest move will consolidate Lumen's commercial divisions to drive business results and address customer needs, especially as the telecom-turned technology provider continues to evolve its business and focus on strategic services, including Network as a Service (NaaS), according to Monroe, La.-based Lumen.

Haynes-Gaspar, who joined the company in May 2023, was the former COO of U.S. business applications and industry at Microsoft.

"Our customers and partners will benefit from the changes we are making today as they better align us with our mission to secure our customer base, drive commercial excellence, and innovate for growth. Haynes-Gaspar has the right skills and experience to lead these changes, providing greater agility and efficiency to meet our customers' needs."

Lumen at the end of 2022 began making sweeping changes to its leadership team. The company in November 2022 brought on tech veteran Kate Johnson as its CEO. In 2023, Lumen brought on Sham Chotai as executive vice president of product and technology and Jay Barrows as executive vice president of enterprise sales and public sector. Lumen also added Haynes-Gaspar to its marketing organization as executive vice president and customer experience officer, wholesale and international.

Barrows will now report to Haynes-Gaspar maintaining a customer-centric focus on enterprise and public sector sales.

The service provider in December also named Satish Lakshmanan as its new chief product officer. Lakshmanan is tasked will leading Lumen's corporate strategy and product portfolio.
