Extreme Networks Offers New Revenue Opportunities With ExtremeCloud

The new cloud managed services offering is built for Extreme channel partners.

When Extreme Networks partners asked for new recurring revenue streams, CEO Ed Meyercord answered with the launch of ExtremeCloud, a cloud managed platform.

’They told us that they’re looking for new revenue streams, and looking at managed services. So our cloud platform has some unique characteristics. We’re offering a white-box model so that our partners can use their own brand,’ said Meyercord.

Meyercord said the platform is easy to use and provides high scalability, Web-based centralized management and multisite management.

The networking company operates as an innovative, focused entity, he said.

’We feel like a 20-year startup. We’re very focused on verticals, we’re focused on the medium-sized enterprise,’ Meyercord said.

While Extreme continues to pursue new avenues of revenue for partners, it continues to improve its partner relationships as well.

’We’re investing a lot in the channel in terms of education and training programs and marketing programs,’ Meyercord said.
