
ManTech International, a provider of technology solutions and services for U.S. defense, intelligence, and other federal agencies, on Thursday unveiled the acquisition of H2M Group, which offers a range of services to the intelligence community.
H2M Group, a Manassas, Va.-based woman-owned and veteran-owed small business, provides imagery and geospatial expertise, information technology, and program management to the NGA (National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency) and other agencies in the geospatial and intelligence communities.
The company supports government customers with such capabilities as cartography, geospatial and imagery analysis, imagery science, full-motion video, planning and policy, cyber, and staff officer support.

Herndon, Va.-based ManTech, a $2-billion solution provider, ranks No. 33 on CRN's 2019 Solution Provider 500 list.
For ManTech, H2M brings a couple of big opportunities, said Rick Wagner, president of ManTech's Mission, Cyber & Intelligence Solutions Group.
First of all, it’s an opportunity for ManTech to expand its business with NGA. ManTech does IT support for NGA, and is fairly new to the agency, but H2M is almost completely focused on providing intelligence and geospatial capabilities to that agency, Wagner told CRN. "This is an opportunity for us to get closer to NGA," he said.
ManTech also plans to bring the H2M capabilities to its other clients in the intelligence and geospatial communities, Wagner said.
"About 40 percent of our business is in the intelligence community," he said. "And we are relatively new to the geospatial market. H2M gives us an opportunity to expand in that area."
Wagner declined to provide either terms of the deal or details about H2M's financial situation. However, he said, H2M is profitable, and brings ManTech about 180 new personnel.
Since ManTech, founded 51 years ago, went public, it has made over 50 acquisitions, Wagner said. The cybersecurity market has been a big acquisition focus for it in the last few years, he said.
When ManTech makes an acquisition, Wagner said, the company looks for one of three things: customer intimacy, new technology and capabilities, and specific government contract vehicles.
"In H2M's case, the acquisition hit on all three," he said.
