T2 Tech Group Acquires Health-Care Business, Forms New Work-From- Home-Focused Subsidiary

T2 Tech Group, an IT consulting and management services provider with a heavy focus on the health-care industry, has acquired a patient access services business and created a new subsidiary centered on a work-from-home focus.

Early this month T2 Tech Group acquired the patient access services and scheduling division of Plano, Texas-based Revint Solutions and is moving the services to its new wholly owned subsidiary, T2 Flex Force, said Kevin Torf, co-founder and managing partner of Los Angeles-based T2 Tech Group.

“This is a complicated business,” he said. ”Health-care providers need a lot of pre-op work to help clients prepare for operations and tests. This type of service has been typically provided through call centers, but the focus now is on work from home. We want to use our technology to help schedulers during the busy time caused by COVID-19.”

T2 Flex Force was formed about a month ago in preparation for the acquisition of Revint Solutions‘ patient scheduling and access services division, Torf said. T2 Flex Force has been doing business since Aug. 1. However, he said, that patient scheduling and access group has been in business for seven years.

T2 Tech Group has 70 percent of its business focused on health care. The company has been very busy during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, Torf said.

The new T2 Flex Force business is a great complement to the company, but it was important to keep it separate from T2 Tech Group, he said.

“We‘re in the same industry, but doing two different things,” he said. ”So we felt we needed something legally separate. T2 Flex Force intends to employ people across the U.S. They will be lower-wage people. We want to bring in the work-from-home people. About 95 percent of those employees will be full-time people with full benefits. We will train them and educate them on the job requirements and how to comfort people looking to go to the hospital.”

Torf told CRN that the T2 Flex Force business could be outsourced, but that T2 Tech Group made the decision to not go that route.

“We are an American company,” he said. ”Costs overseas might be lower, but I don‘t believe we could get the same level of service. Our intent is that the company will recruit Americans who understand the culture of the patients.”

T2 Tech Group is already looking at a few possible future health-care-focused acquisitions, Torf said.

“There are a lot of companies struggling because of the pandemic,” he said. ”Remember, people in this industry are typically in call centers with hundreds of people. So we will look to acquire or partner with other companies who need help with flexibility.”
