Mozilla Releases Security Updates To Mail Client, Browser Suite

Mozilla 1.7.6 was patched against the same IDN (International Domain Names) spoofing flaw that was corrected in Firefox 1.0.1, which was released a month ago.

Thunderbird 1.0.2 -- there was no 1.0.1 version -- essentially keeps it even with Firefox on security fixes.

The full list of fixes in both Thunderbird and Mozilla can be found here.

Mozilla is on its last legs as far as the foundation is concerned. Although it will continue development and support of the 1.7x line, the foundation is handing over the keys to an embryonic group that's calling itself Seamonkey for the moment.
