McAfee To 'Stream' Antispam Updates

Users of McAfee's SpamKiller and WebShield appliances, at-the-edge defenses against spam and unwanted Web content, respectively, can add what the Santa Clara, Calif.-based security firm calls "Streaming Updates" free of charge.

"As spammers evolve and become more sophisticated in their methods, Streaming Updates will ensure excellent detection rates and proactively protect our enterprise customers from new types of spam e-mail, including phishing, pharming, and viruses," said Vincent Rossi, senior vice president of product management, in a statement.
