eEye Releases Enterprise Vulnerability Assessment System

The company's Enterprise Vulnerability Assessment and Remediation Management solution integrates eEye's Retina Network Security Scanner with its new Remote Enterprise Management (REM) console.

The product provides large, distributed enterprises that have eEye scanners deployed at several locations to get a centralized view of the overall security of their entire network, said Firas Raouf, COO of eEye, based here.

The software gathers vulnerability data from the scanners, puts it into a centralized management system and allows administrators to prioritize, assign and track remediation work, he said.

Thomas Brennan, president and CEO of Federal Systems Group, a solution provider based in Whippany, N.J., said eEye's new product is much-needed technology for Fortune 1000 firms and government agencies.

"As a member of the Homeland Security Infragard program, our firm strongly believes that the introduction of the REM product will enable distributed enterprises to centrally manage and administer a complete vulnerability assessment and remediation management system in an efficient, centrally managed fashion," he said.

Pricing depends on network architecture and size. The events management component of the solution starts at $14,990; enterprise scanning starts at $6,520 for 256 IP addresses.
