Processing networking

FIPS 140-2 is a U.S. security standard used to accredit cryptographic modules in IT systems; validation helps to ensure the integrity of "sensitive, but not classified" information, and encourages interoperability among agency networks. In particular, FIPS validation is a requirement of the Department of Defense (DoD) policy for commercial WLAN deployments.
