In a news release, JumpCloud said that the acquisition advances its efforts to build a unified platform for identity security.
Founded in 2023, Breez offers an identity threat detection and response (ITDR) tool that inventories all identities (including non-human identities), conducts behavioral analysis and detects anomalous behavior, according to the startup.
Breez also provides agentic-powered investigation into threats and automated remediation, as well as AI-driven reporting following an incident.
The addition of Breez’s ITDR capabilities to the JumpCloud platform will build on the company’s pair of acquisitions earlier this year. In January, JumpCloud acquired access visibility provider Stack Identity, followed by the acquisition of privileged access management vendor VaultOne in May.
In an interview last year, JumpCloud co-founder and CEO Rajat Bhargava that the company has been focused on expanding its platform to enable simplification and consolidation for customers.
Notably, with every acquisition, the vendor will “re-platform acquired technologies to integrate them fully into JumpCloud,” Bhargava told CRN at the time. “This ensures that the acquired technologies function as a seamless part of the JumpCloud platform.”
