Keyfactor Hires Trend Micro Veteran Louise McEvoy As Channel Chief

McEvoy joins identity security vendor Keyfactor to accelerate its push with partners, according to the company.

Keyfactor announced Monday it has hired Louise McEvoy, a former longtime channel sales executive at Trend Micro, as its new channel chief to lead an effort to double down on partners.

The identity security vendor said in a news release that it has appointed McEvoy (pictured) to serve as senior vice president of global channel sales.

McEvoy joins Keyfactor after spending nearly a decade as vice president of U.S. channel sales at cybersecurity giant Trend Micro, according to the release.

David Roth, CRO for America enterprise sales at Trend Micro, is serving as acting channel leader for the U.S. at the company, Trend Micro said in an email to CRN.

From her time as channel chief at Trend Micro, McEvoy brings deep experience in developing modern partnering strategies to the role at Keyfactor, the vendor said.

In the release, McEvoy is quoted as saying she expects to pursue a “channel-first” approach at Keyfactor, which she noted is well-positioned for major growth amid massive emerging threats related to quantum computing and accelerating adoption of AI.

In a 2024 interview, Keyfactor CEO Jordan Rackie told CRN that the company expected to continue its aggressive growth pace after crossing $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) in February 2024.

The company disclosed in May that it had achieved 32-percent ARR growth, year-over-year. That month, Keyfactor also announced the acquisitions of two companies that offer cryptography-related technologies, InfoSec Global and CipherInsights, as part of expanding its platform for enabling quantum readiness, the company said.

Along with the hire of McEvoy, Keyfactor announced Monday it has named Gün Akkor, formerly of companies including Proofpoint and Carbon Black, as chief product and technology officer. Keyfactor also said it has hired a veteran enterprise SaaS executive, Valtteri Vesikallio, as chief customer officer.
