SentinelOne Hires Industry Vet Ana Pinczuk As New President Of Technology

Pinczuk succeeds Ric Smith, who is departing the cybersecurity vendor, as SentinelOne looks to deliver cyber defense capabilities that are ‘faster, smarter and more autonomous,’ the company says.

SentinelOne announced Thursday it has hired Ana Pinczuk, a veteran executive at tech giants including Cisco and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, as its new president of product and technology.

Pinczuk succeeds Ric Smith, who is departing to “pursue new opportunities.” Smith had been with SentinelOne since 2021 and held the position of president of product, technology and operations at SentinelOne for the past year.

Prior key roles for Pinczuk have included serving as COO of Dexterity and chief development officer of Anaplan. Earlier in her career, she served as president and general manager of HPE Pointnext and, before that, spent more than 14 years at Cisco. Roles at Cisco included serving as senior vice president of sales.

In a news release Thursday, SentinelOne called Pinczuk — who has also served on the company’s board since 2022 — “uniquely positioned” to spearhead the next phase of technology expansion at the vendor.

Pinczuk brings “proven expertise in building world-class product and technology organizations as well as her deep understanding of SentinelOne’s strategy,” SentinelOne co-founder and CEO Tomer Weingarten said in a quote included in the news release.

Ultimately, Pinczuk will be responsible for helping SentinelOne to deliver cyber defense capabilities that are “faster, smarter and more autonomous,” Weingarten said.

In recent years, SentinelOne has been moving aggressively to expand its security platform beyond its core endpoint detection and response (EDR) offering. Key emerging categories for the vendor include cloud security, identity protection and AI security.

Major moves by SentinelOne have included the $180 million acquisition of Prompt Security, a startup focused on securing AI and agentic technologies.
