The 25 Hottest Edge Security Companies: 2025 Edge Computing 100

As part of CRN’s Edge Computing 100 for 2025, here are 25 security vendors working to protect users and data across IT, OT and IoT environments.

As edge AI becomes more predominant, the attack surface for many organizations is likely to get yet another major expansion over the coming years. Deployment of AI within edge environments means shifting computing away from controlled, centralized environments such as cloud servers---opening up a whole new set of potential targets for threat actors.

It’s just one of the many rising edge security threats facing the industry in 2025, and it’s a key theme for numerous top security vendors that are looking to stay ahead of attackers. These vendors are responding to the evolving demands for protecting users and data across IT, OT and IoT environments with a range of new edge security products and capabilities.

Meanwhile, many leading cybersecurity vendors are also doubling down on their platforms for SASE (secure access service edge) and SSE (security service edge), which enable secure access for remote and hybrid workforces. SSE involves bringing together ZTNA (zero-trust network access), CASB (cloud access security broker), SWG (secure web gateway) and data security, while SASE unifies those capabilities with SD-WAN.
