Oracle Readies 73 Patches To Fix Security Vulnerabilities

Oracle said the patches cover hundreds of Oracle products and some of the vulnerabilities addressed in Tuesday's patch update affect multiple products. The company said the most important updates are for the Oracle JRockit Java virtual machine, the Sun GlassFish Enterprise Server, and the Sun Java System Application Server within the Oracle Sun Products Suite.

"Due to the threat posed by a successful attack, Oracle strongly recommends that customers apply critical patch update fixes as soon as possible," the company said in a statement.

The list of affected products includes multiple releases of Oracle Database 10g and 11g, Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g, Oracle Application Server 10g, Oracle Identity Management 10g, Oracle JRockit, Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle InForm, Oracle OpenOffice and the Oracle Sun Product Suite.

On the Application side the fixes apply to multiple releases of Oracle E-Business Suite 11i and 12; Oracle Agile Technology Platform; Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM, ELS, HRMS, Portal, and People Tools; Oracle JD Edwards OneWorld Tools and Enterprise Tools; and Oracle Siebel CRM Core.
