Insight Launches Managed Security Service For SMBs

To implement the service, Insight sets up a customer-controlled portal used to set parameters and provide access to reports on spam and viruses blocked by the service. The customer's inbound and outbound e-mail is routed to MX Logic's Threat Center, where it is monitored to identify and eliminate threats. Insight also trains the customer's staff in how to use the service effectively and provides ongoing support.

The company claims that the service blocks over 98 percent of spam and protects customers from viruses, worms, and other malicious code. The service, which is automatically updated to protect against the latest threats, requires no additional hardware or software.
