Data protection technology developer Axcient has appointed channel veteran Rob Haggerty as vice president of technical support, whose goal will be to help partners address technical challenges and get more out of their solutions.

“One thing that makes Axcient stand out is our dedication to a great partner experience,” Rod Mathews, CEO of Denver-based Axcient, told CRN via email. “Rob will concentrate on making sure we continue to solve partner technical challenges quickly and completely while also building out our capabilities to offer counsel to partners on how to optimize their BCDR [business continuity and disaster recovery] services.”

He added that in 2023 MSPs will be focused more on getting the most value from their investments during an incoming economic downturn, “and Axcient will be there to help them optimize and profitably grow their services.”

Haggerty comes to Axcient with 18 years of experience in technical support and professional services in the IT industry. Most recently, he was vice president of technical support for six months at Datto. Before that, he held professional services and support leadership roles at RSA Security and Dell EMC with extensive experience developing support teams that span technical problem-solving and strategic product optimization.

Mathews said Haggerty brings a “breadth of knowledge” on modern BCDR and is hyper-focused on providing strategic counsel to tune and optimize partners’ services.

“I am thrilled to join the Axcient team to build on their track record of exceptional service and support to the MSP community,” Haggerty said in a statement. “Axcient set the standard for business continuity and disaster recovery solutions that protect data and allow businesses to recover rapidly and completely from threats like ransomware.”
