‘Remote and hybrid employees are still in an environment where they can possibly be a risk to the corporate organization,’ Linksys’ Homaira Kaufman tells CRNtv.

The pandemic boosted the amount of people working in the hybrid work enviroment. Since hybrid and remote working is here to stay, making the right network protection is more critical than ever before.

Here’s a look at some of CRNtv’s interview with Homaira Kaufman, senior national account manager at Irvine, Calif.-based networking hardware maker Linksys.

‘Demand for remote work has raised the security risks for corporate networks. Supporting the increasing number of IOT and BYOD devices connected to corporate networks also increased IT’s workload... Linksys and Fortinet joined forces on a complete connectivity solution featuring WiFi 6 mesh routing and enterprise-grade security.”

Kaufman also explained why this is the best time for women to get into the cybersecurity industry.

“If someone were to ask me, ‘Where do you see yourself in the next five to 10 years?’ My answer would be, ‘Learning about cybersecurity, how can I belong in the cybersecurity space? How can I up-skill myself where can I learn and who’s willing to, you know, give us those type of resources?’”
