N-able Taps Troels Rasmussen As General Manager Of Security Products
‘Security changes every day and requires people to think about risk differently, it’s not just small scale. It can be large-scale attacks that disrupt business continuity and can even lead to an extinction event,’ Rasmussen said.
N-able has appointed Troels Rasmussen as general manager of security products, charged with taking hold of and extending best-in-class security products and support for its partners.
In his role, Rasmussen will oversee and support N-able’s strategic direction across the security product landscape including Endpoint Detection and Response, DNS Filtering, Passportal and Mail Assure.
“Security changes every day and requires people to think about risk differently, it’s not just small scale. It can be large-scale attacks that disrupt business continuity and can even lead to an extinction event,” Rasmussen said in a statement Tuesday. “In this new role, our team will continue to be 100 percent dedicated to ongoing discovery, collaboration and partnership to help improve not only ourselves, but the industry as a whole. That is why we design sophisticated security solutions to help our partners own the risk conversation and to stay ahead with full, layered protection.”

CRN has reached out to N-able for further comment.
Rasmussen joined N-able, headquartered in Burlington, Mass., more than four years ago and has served in various roles that have provided him with “a holistic understanding of the business” and helping companies work through their digital evolution, N-able said. Most recently he served as head of product, tools and email security, according to his LinkedIn page.
In a N-able survey conducted earlier this year, almost all MSPs polled said they suffered a cyberattack in the previous 18 months, and 90 percent had seen an increase in attacks since the COVID-19 pandemic started.
“As attackers and threats continue to adapt, our goal is to provide the widest breadth and depth of security products to our MSP partners to nail security across its full lifecycle from identification to protection, detection, response and recovery,” Mike Adler, N-Able chief technology and product officer, said in a statement. “By appointing Troels for this role, we can continue to hone our focus on delivering secure, sophisticated solutions to help businesses not just stay current with today’s security threats but stay ahead of tomorrow’s.”
