Symantec President and COO Mike Fey told CRNtv that browser isolation will change the way we work.

Browser isolation prevents malware and phishing attacks by isolating the browser from the end-user's system.  According to Gartner research, more than 50 percent of enterprises will use browser isolation in the next three years.  Fey said the technology is perfect for hospitals and banks, where sensitive information is routinely shared on the internet.

Fey's comments came at the RSA Conference in San Francisco, where an estimated 40,000 people came to learn and share news about the cybersecurity industry.  Symantec's Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cyber Services Samir Kapuria spoke on the security challenges in the digital civilization, which he described as society's fourth industrial revolution.

Kapuria questioned the impact of machines in our culture, asking who is at fault when there's an error, the human or the machine?

Kapuria also challenged the security vendors to do more in the digital civilization evolution.
