CRNtv recently featured Cisco’s Steve Benvenuto as part of its “Two Minutes” series.
Benvenuto is a senior director of global security partner sales. He and his team are responsible for the entire lifecycle of Cisco’s partner programs, incentives, partner pricing, planning and competitive intelligence.
In February, he helped to unveil Cisco’s first dedicated MSSP security portfolio, making it easier for partners to deploy advanced security solutions quickly, manage customers through a cloud-based console and respond rapidly to threats. It’s an architecture that’s been resonating ever since, says Benvenuto.
“We’ve got this great portfolio of products,” he said. “They’re not only best of breed and compete individually, but they’re all integrated and share threat intelligence.”
Benvenuto says an integrated portfolio of products is key for today's cybersecurity challenges. He explains how the company's endpoint security offerings all talk with one another, sharing intelligence and information to ensure controls against zero-day threats are put into place as quickly as possible.
Later, Benvenuto discussed how Cisco products address top security needs.
“We’ve actually created certain plays for our partners, where we group together parts of our portfolio that address certain customer needs. One of those plays that we have is around how we look at ransomware and then another play is how do we really look at securing the employee problem that’s seemingly increasing everyday as you see in the news,” he said.
