Cyber Defense Minute: Reduce Complexity With Integrated Cyber Defense

Symantec's Integrated Cyber Defense Platform unifies cloud and on-premise security to protect organizations across their entire network – from users, to information, to messaging and the web.

The impact of technology on businesses has been nothing short of extraordinary. But for solution providers who have to manage multiple devices, it can be quite stressful.

Partners, especially those working in security, are looking for simplicity and best-of-breed solutions, because they don’t have time to learn all of the ins and outs of numerous technologies. “They’re trying to figure out how they can put the best strategy in place to ensure their customers succeed,” says Kevin Reardon, vice president of enterprise strategy at Symantec. “I want to ensure that the people using these technologies are getting to an outcome, and that outcome is one of business value.”

Symantec is delivering business value to its partners through its Integrated Cyber Defense Platform. It reduces partner’s hardware, software and licensing costs by consolidating the number of vendors and resources they need in order to sell to their customers. The platform unifies cloud and on-premise security to protect organizations across their entire network – from users, to information, to messaging and the web.

“This platform is meant to be a consolidation, rationalization and standardization engine for the customer and for the partner base,” says Reardon, who goes on to say that the ICD will allow customers to be both best-of-breed and best-of-suite.

The Integrated Cyber Defense Platform also optimizes solution provider’s pain points in regard to complexity and time by providing a framework that allows partners to deliver services directly through Symantec.

“Partners have the opportunity to work with their customers and demonstrate how they can build on top of a platform that’s integrated, driving cost optimization, reducing risk and ensuring that they get the right efficiency that they need,” says Reardon. By allowing businesses to operate at an efficient pace, Symantec Integrated Cyber Defense Platform decreases the risk of partners losing their customers to the competition.
