Pure Storage’s New CRO Commits To Helping Clients ‘Win By Enabling Them To Manage Their Data’
‘At a moment of extraordinary technological change and business transformation fueled by AI, Pure is helping customers compete and win by enabling them to manage their data, not just their storage,’ says new Pure Storage CRO Patrick S. Finn.
Storage technology developer Pure Storage Tuesday said it has brought on former Cloudflare and Iron Mountain executive Patrick S. Finn as its new chief revenue officer.
Finn replaces former chief revenue officer Dan FitzSimons who has moved into an advisory role to assist in the transition of the CRO responsibilities to Finn.
Santa Clara, Calif.-based Pure Storage also reaffirmed its third fiscal quarter and full fiscal year 2026 guidance.

The company in July significantly increased its guidance.
During its second fiscal quarter 2026 financial conference call, Pure Storage raised its full fiscal year 2026 revenue guidance to be in the range of $3.6 billion to $3.63 billion, or 14 percent year-over-year growth at the midpoint over fiscal year 2025. That is up by 300 basis points from its previous revenue guidance of 11 percent year-over-year growth.
Operating profit for the year is expected to be in the range of $605 million to $625 million at the midpoint, or 10 percent higher than last year, and a 300-basis point increase from its previously provided guidance of $595 million.
Third fiscal quarter 2026 revenue is slated to rise 15 percent year-over-year to be in the range of $950 million to $960 million, while operating profit should rise by 14 percent over last year in the range of $185 million to $195 million, the company also said.
Pure Storage declined to respond to a CRN request for further information about the new CRO and any changes he plans for the company’s strategy, citing the quiet period it is in before it unveils its third fiscal quarter 2026 financials which are slated to be released on December 2.
However, Finn, in a LinkedIn post, wrote that he will be leading Pure Storage’s global sales and channel at a time when AI is creating an unprecedented data opportunity for companies agile enough to take advantage of it.
“I believe Pure has the clearest path for customers to actually manage their data, not just their storage. That simplicity—what they’ve announced as the Enterprise Data Cloud—is a game-changer because it lets businesses focus entirely on winning, not wrestling with infrastructure,” he wrote.
Finn also committed himself to Pure Storage’s continued focus on managing data and not just on managing storage.
“At a moment of extraordinary technological change and business transformation fueled by AI, Pure is helping customers compete and win by enabling them to manage their data, not just their storage. The Enterprise Data Cloud, Pure’s bold new standard in data and storage management simplicity, enables customers to focus on their business outcomes rather than their infrastructure,” he wrote.
Pure Storage CEO Charles Giancarlo, in response to Finn’s LinkedIn post, wrote that Finn had the experience to drive the company’s growth.
“With more than three decades of sales and leadership experience, Pat has built a career on connecting people, inspiring teams, and driving growth. Most recently at Cloudflare, he led Americas sales, helping customers strengthen their networks and expand their reach. His leadership at Cisco, Pepsi-Cola, and IBM adds to an incredible track record of turning great teams and trusted relationships into lasting success,” Giancarlo wrote.
The departure of FitzSimons as CRO appears to have been an amicable one. Giancarlo, in his post, wrote, “[FitzSimons’] leadership has been instrumental in scaling our operations, developing our Enterprise and Commercial strategies, expanding our sales force, quality and leadership, strengthening customer trust, and shaping the vibrant culture that defines Pure today. His leadership, integrity, and care have left a lasting mark on this company and on so many of us personally.”
Finn most recently served for 14 months at Cloudflare, leaving that company in July as the theater vice president of the Americas. He spent the previous 13 months at Iron Mountain as senior vice president of global industries. Finn was also a 20-year Cisco veteran, leaving that company in 2016 as senior vice president of the U.S. public sector.
Between 2016 and November of 2025, Finn also served as principle and founder of Finn Advisors, which focused on helping emerging technology companies on strategy and go-to-market capabilities.
