The agreement is Data Domain's first broadline distribution agreement in North America and includes the vendor's Appliance Series, DDX Array Series, Gateway Series, Replicator Software, Virtual Tape Library Software and the new DD120 remote office protection system for distributed enterprises.

Data Domain, Santa Clara, Calif., has been one of the most requested vendor lines by solution providers, according to Scott Look, vice president of Ingram's ITS division.

"Data Domain is renowned as one of the IT industry's fastest-growing vendors and its deduplication storage systems are proven to help channel partners optimize three of today's hottest IT applications " disk backup, archiving and network-based disaster recovery," Look said in a statement.

Ingram Micro, Santa Ana, Calif., will provide solution providers with technical and sales training, as well as marketing support on how to integrate deduplication storage solutions into an existing practice, according to the distributor.
