Intronis Names New CEO

Faulk, who also joins the company's board of directors, comes to the table with more than 30 years of experience in technology sales, marketing and operations with a particular emphasis on the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business model.

Intronis offers backup capabilities for Exchange and SQL, and supports virtualized environments with native VMware backup. The company said its solution has been field-tested by thousands of MSPs.

Faulk previously served as president and CEO of Landslide Technologies, which is known for its Landslide CRM solution. Faulk next became the general manager of sales and marketing for cloud services at j2, after that company acquired Landslide Technologies. His earlier track record includes a tenure as president and CEO of Mzinga, which develops business social software solutions.

Faulk also served as CEO of from 2001 to 2005 and helped to negotiate the sale of the company's SaaS collaboration service to WebEx Communications before that company was acquired by Cisco. He served as chief marketing officer and president of WebEx Small Business.
