Bell Micro Helps Solution Providers Take STEPS

The STEPS program, which stands for Sign, Train, Engage, Promote, Sell) includes products from such vendors as Hewlett-Packard, Hitachi Data Systems and StorageTek.

Bell Microproducts helps solution providers develop relationships with the vendors by helping them sign with the manufacturer, train employees, build a demand creation plan, execute the strategy and review the results, said Phil Roussey, executive vice president of enterprise marketing and sales for Bell Microproducts.

"It is relatively easy for a solution provider to sign up, but is much harder to drive new business with a new supplier. Bell Microproducts holds key relationships with the most powerful storage and server industry leaders and can leverage that to a solution provider's advantage," Roussey said in a statement. "These engagements are not readily available or easy to maintain. Bell Microproducts can help maximize them though the STEPS program implementation."

The distributor promises greater access to vendors' top-level support programs and details how to earn benefits including co-op, MDFs, demo equipment discounts, promotions and end user leads.
