APC By Schneider Electric's Katie Boeh On Company's New Cloud-Connected UPS

CRNtv recently spoke with Katie Boeh, director of channel marketing at APC by Schneider Electric, about its new cloud-connected UPS.

"It is a new feature within our current Smart-UPS line called Smart-UPS with APC SmartConnect," said Boeh. "This is really the industry's first cloud-connected UPS."

The new technology creates what is essentially a web interface where partners and their customers can log in and see the status of any of their connected Smart-UPSes with SmartConnect, she said, enabling them to monitor battery life and warranty.

Through this feature, businesses can set up alerts to proactively monitor a battery before it gets low, decreasing the risk of downtime, she said.

"This really makes infrastructure management as a service really so much easier for our partners because it gives them one view of everything that they need," said Boeh.
