NetApp Channel Chief On The ‘Phenomenal Opportunity’ Partners Need To Watch

NetApp channel chief discusses how partners can get more out of the company’s cloud-first business model at Insight 2019.

NetApp Channel Chief Chris Lamborn urged partners to get up-to-speed on a consumption-based sales model at NetApp Insight 2019 as the company pushes ahead with a cloud-first strategy.

“I think it’s a phenomenal opportunity around how we help partners get into the market space, consumption solutions that enables them to have that cloud-like experience, and then even more security alignments into our public cloud integrator,” said Lamborn, head of Worldwide Partner Go-To-Market and Programs.

One of the ways NetApp is driving a consumption-model for its partners is with Keystone, a program that offers a range of flexible solutions for customers, whether they choose to build or buy their cloud infrastructure, on their premises or off. Executives say it offers the agility, pay-per-use economics, scaling, and operational simplicity that customers need to be able to consume cloud on their own terms.

“We’ve got consumption in with our public cloud partners with AWS, with Google and Microsoft Azure, but now we’re enabling that to come on-premises. You know this big hybrid multi-cloud opportunity around really having that cloud-like experience everywhere is critical, and today we’re really announcing the opportunity to take the consumption on premises in a really easy way,” added Lamborn.
